Dr. Daren Miller, ED.D.
Dr. Daren Miller, ED.D., was born in Fresno, California. He was the eldest son of Harry and Bessie (Hendrix) Miller. Initially growing up on the west side of town, the family eventually moved to the Butler Park neighborhood in southeast Fresno. A home the Millers have been possessing since 1970. He attended Fresno Unified schools- Lincoln, Easterby, Tenaya Middle School, before graduating from Roosevelt High School. While at Roosevelt, he was elected president for his Sophomore and Junior classes and numerous campus clubs. In his senior year, he was elected Student Body Vice President. At Roosevelt, he also participated in football, basketball, baseball, and track teams earning a football scholarship to Weber State College, in Ogden, Utah. After starting his college career at Weber State, he transferred his sophomore year and played football at Merced College, where he earned in first college degree. He would later earn college degrees from three other institutions.

As a sports official, Dr. Miller understands the importance of fairness, accountability, and respect; values that extend far beyond the game. His involvement in athletics reflects a commitment to mentorship, teamwork, and creating safe, structured environments where young people can learn discipline, confidence, and character.
